ZAMFARA DEPUTY GOVERNOR DEPARTS GUSAU - ABUJA FOR OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENT

FROM JAMILU SANI TSAFE   The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) has departed Gusau for Abuja on an official assignment.    During the visit, the Deputy Governor is scheduled to attend key national engagements wich include, the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting and the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) meeting.      This is contained in a statement signed by the press Secretary office of the State Deputy Governor Shehu Adamu Gusau and made available to the journalists in Gusau.    The Statement said, at the meetings, The Deputy Governor will represent the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, in deliberations focused on national economic policies, intergovernmental collaboration, and issues of development affecting states across the federation.      The Deputy Governor is expected to return to the state on Tuesday, 10th February, 2026.

FROM JAMILU SANI TSAFE The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Malam Mummuni (Masamar Mudi) has declared open a three-day workshop organised by the Office of the Head of Service, Zamfara State, for the members of Zamfara State House of Assembly. The workshop, which took place at the City King Hotel Hall, Kano, with themed: “Using Deep Thinking, Research-Driven Approaches and Artificial Intelligence (AI) for 21st Century Legislative Oversight Functions.” In his keynote address at the opening ceremony, the Deputy Governor described the initiative as timely, strategic and highly commendable, particularly considering the caliber of participants and the relevance of the theme to modern governance and effective legislative oversight. Synergy, inter agency collaboration must uphold to tackle insecurity -- Junta

By IbrahimG Ahmad The Controller Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Zamfara Command, Muhammad Junta, has identified synergy and inter agencies collaboration as critical tools to achieved success in the fight against insecurity. This was contained in a statement by the Command Public Relation Officer, Mustapha Abubakar in Gusau on Saturday. Auto crash reduces by 39% in Zamfara- FRSC

By IbrahimG Ahmad Federal Roads Safety Corps  record 38.9% reduction of the auto crashes along major roads in  Zamfara State The Sector Commander Aliyu Maaji made the disclosure during a courtesy visit with Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Zamfara State Council held at Command headquarters in Gusau. Maaji said the command had countdown reduction was a statistical comparative reduction of the year 2024 and 2025 which give a marging of 38.9% as at December 2025. Minister of Education handover library facility to Federal University Gusau

By IbrahimG Ahmad The Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa has commissioned and delivered a library project, executed under  Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) 2025 intervention, to Federal University Gusau (FUGUS). Handover the Project, Dr. Maruf Alausa  said, such  facility constituted a  compulsory requirement for all university to get  accreditation, as a learning environment. FROM JAMILU SANI TSAFE    The Zamfara State Government is taking steps to address bandit attack in Gwargwabe village of Nahuce district in Bungudu Local Government confirmed the tragic killing of four people who were burnt to death.    State Governor,  Dauda Lawal, represented by his Deputy, Mani Malam Mummuni, attended the funeral prayer and burial of the victims.        He pledged the government’s continued commitment to taking all necessary steps to address banditry in the State.        The Deputy Governor, urged residents to accept the incident as an act of destiny while assuring them that, the government is investigating the delay in the arrival of security operatives after the attack was reported.     The Matawallen Bukkuyum also announced the establishment of a military base in Gwargwabe to curb further attacks and called on the community to support security agencies with cooperation and unity.   On b...
