From Aliyu Buhari Gusau Heavily armed bandits have attacked Tsafe livestock market, last Sunday, killing one person. The bandits reportedly launched the attack from a distance in the afternoon, forcing traders and buyers to flee for their lives. Security operatives have responded with heavy gunfire, forcing the attackers to flee. This is the second attack of its kind in the last two months.  The attack came a day after an invasion of Tsafe town that led to the abduction of seven people. Eyewitness Muhammad Tanimu said that, heavily armed bandits, numbering about 50, launched an attack on Tsafe town in the early hours of Saturday, firing sporadically. He said the attack, which started at about 12:50 a.m., lasted for more than an hour. According to him, security operatives responded only after the bandits had fled.
