NSCDC Boss, Meets with Emir of Gusau, HRH Abulkadir Ibrahim Bello in Zamfara

Easter Celebration : NSCDC Deploys 365 Personels in Zamfara

From Aliyu Buhari Gusau The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), under the leadership of CC Sani Mustapha confirmed the deployment of 365 operational personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and secured Easter celebration. In a Press Statement signed by the   Spokesperson of the Command, Asc I Mohammad Umar M. issued to the journalists in Gusau, the State capital. According to the Statement, the deployments optimally covers the period (pre, active, and post) festivities, with a strategic goal of actively strengthening security presence at worship centres, securing lives and critical infrastructure across the fourteen (14) Local Government areas  of the state. Bauchi: No fewer than 50 Journalists benefits from NUJ, UNICEF one day partnership training on Maternal and Newborn reporting

 By Abbas Wali, Bauchi  In continues efforts to train and retrain members of the Union, The Nigeria Union of Journalists Bauchi State Council, has collaborated with Bauchi Field office of the United Nations Children's Funds (UNICE) to train 50 Journalists across the Media organizations in the State including Correspondent chapel in a One-day  training program on Maternal and Newborn reporting, aimed at addressing maternal mortality in Bauchi state. The one day partnership training took place on Monday at Late Mohammed Abdullahi Conference hall of NUJ Bauchi Council Secretariat to  improve reporting on health issues affecting women and children.  Speaking at the opening ceremony, the State Chairman of NUJ, Comrade Umar Sa’idu, expressed gratitude to UNICEF for supporting and bankrolling the initiative to reality. ZLGSC TRAINS 28 AGRIC EXTENSION WORKERS ON SOLAR SCALING FOR IMPROVED IRRIGATION FARMING

From Jamilu Isah Gusau   The Zamfara State Local Government Service Commission (ZLGSC), in collaboration with Gadabo Farm and General Enterprise Limited, has organized a three-day training workshop for 28 agricultural Extension and Irrigation workers from fourteen local government areas in the State. The training workshop, themed “Scaling solar irrigation for improving dry season yields of tomatoes, pepper, onion, and vegetables; is aimed at supporting farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity at the grassroots level.
