Bauchi: No fewer than 50 Journalists benefits from NUJ, UNICEF one day partnership training on Maternal and Newborn reporting

 By Abbas Wali, Bauchi  In continues efforts to train and retrain members of the Union, The Nigeria Union of Journalists Bauchi State Council, has collaborated with Bauchi Field office of the United Nations Children's Funds (UNICE) to train 50 Journalists across the Media organizations in the State including Correspondent chapel in a One-day  training program on Maternal and Newborn reporting, aimed at addressing maternal mortality in Bauchi state. ZLGSC TRAINS 28 AGRIC EXTENSION WORKERS ON SOLAR SCALING FOR IMPROVED IRRIGATION FARMING

From Jamilu Isah Gusau   The Zamfara State Local Government Service Commission (ZLGSC), in collaboration with Gadabo Farm and General Enterprise Limited, has organized a three-day training workshop for 28 agricultural Extension and Irrigation workers from fourteen local government areas in the State. The training workshop, themed “Scaling solar irrigation for improving dry season yields of tomatoes, pepper, onion, and vegetables; is aimed at supporting farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity at the grassroots level. By Abbas Wali, Bauchi A coaliation of 50 political groups in Bauchi State have warned that any move by Governor Bala Mohammed to defect from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) could weaken Nigeria’s opposition and undermine democratic plurality. The warning followed consultations with over 50 political groups, who described the governor as a critical voice in holding the ruling party accountable. The group led by it's chairman, Comrade Rayyan Adamu, stated in Bauçhi while interacting with Journalists, where he argued that Mohammed’s role transcends Bauchi State, portraying him as a national figure whose opposition stance has strengthened democratic discourse. ZMSG LOUDS DANGOTE FOUNDATION FOR SUPPORT TO ORPHANS, PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

FROM JAMILU SANI TSAFE The Zamfara State Government has commended the Dangote Foundation for its outstanding efforts in supporting orphans and people with special needs, particularly through the provision of food assistance at a time when many citizens are in need of relief. The Acting Governor of the Ssate, Mani Malam Mummuni Masamar Mudi, made this known while speaking at the official flag-off ceremony for the distribution of rice donated by the Dangote Foundation to vulnerable groups across the state. The event was held at the Zamfara State Zakat and Endowment Board Gusau.  According to the Deputy Governor, the Foundation donated 20,000 bags of 10kg rice, with each ward across the fourteen local government areas of the state receiving 80 bags and above.
