GOVERNOR MATAWALLE DIRECTS ZAGIS TO COMMENCE ISSUANCE OF ELECTRONIC CERTIFIICATES OF OCCUPANCY TO LAND OWNERS

Zamfara state Governor, Dr. Bello Mohammed MON Matawallen Maradun_, Barden Hausa Shettiman Sokoto has instructed the State Geographic Information System (ZAGIS, to as matter of urgency, start issuing ol Electronic Certificates of Occupancy to deserving people in the State.

According to the release, the Governor gave the directivws while inspecting ZAGIS Modern Survey Equipments provided by his administration, adding that, the move was to improve the services of the centre and ensure that, all households, Companies and other structures existing throughout the state were issued with Electronic Certificate of Occupancy basad on international standard.
The Governor also inspected the modern survey equipment which cost the millions of Naira to procure, by his administration, I.C.T Room and presentation of GIS/LIS projects through satellite imagery and other necessary working materials put in place at the centre.
Matawalle directed the officials of ZAGIS to ensure the smooth operation of their services through online mode of payment of any type of Application and the prompt printing and issuance of Electronic Certificate of Occupancy to the people of the State.
The Matawallen Maradun explained that his visit to ZAGIS Headquarters was aimed at encouraging the officials of ZAGIS to discharge their responsibilities and to inspect the general equipment provided for the issuance of the Electronic Certificate of Occupancy and the Geographical Maps of Zamfara State.
Matawallen Maradun Expressed satisfaction with the way and manner the officials of ZAGIS are conducting their responsibilities professionally, directed the management to sensitise people on the importance aspects of ZAGIS activities, so that people in the State will continue to pay their dues in due course.
The Director General of ZAGIS, Hassan Idris Gusau who conducted the Governor round the facility, said all necessary materials in terms of logistics support have been provided for smooth operation.
The DGl thanked the Governor for the visit and assured of staff readiness to conduct their activities effectively.
The Governor was accompanied on the visit by the State Head of service, Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Gayari, Chief of Staff Government House, Malam Suleiman Ibrahim, Commissioners of Information and Health, Alhaji Ibrahim Dosara and Alhaji Aliyu Abubakar MC, and other senior Government officials.
