GOVERNOR MATAWALLE LAUNCHES FREE HEALTHCARE FOR VULNERABLE, LESS PRIVILLEDGED

         Governor of Zamfara state,Hon. Dr Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON (Shattiman Sakkwato) has  launched a free healthcare programme  for vulnerable and less Privileged persons in the state,

                    This was contained in a press statement issued to journalists in Gusau by the Director General Media and Publicity, office of the state Governor, Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau, 


                    According to the Statement, the programme  will benefit  no fewer than  34,000 beneficiaries  drawn from the 14 local government areas of the state, i


It addede that, Governor Bello Matawalle is the first state  governor in the country to launch such  laudable programme, and  will be extended to other 34,000 vulnerable persons  from the 147 wards of the state for the next three years.


                   The statement further maintained  that, a total of 231 beneficiaries will be selected from each of the 147 wards comprising 92 pregnant women, 116 under 5 children as well as 23 elderly and physically challenged persons and will be  manned  by a Committee that will soon be set up.


          It further  noted that, Governor  Matawalle will embark on  construction of primary healthcare centres (PHCs)across the 147 Wards of tje state. which will soon come into operations


 It said, that beneficiaries of the scheme would  not have to  travel far to access such  services , aimed at addressing and reducing maternal mortality and other health  Challenges especially at the rural  level.,


          "Already, Matawalle,  has paid up its mandatory N100 million counterpart to access the fund for the effective, smooth and immediate take off of the scheme" it added,


             The statement also said, Matawalle, Commended the state legislators, labour unions, CSOs, traditional and religious leaders for their support in the attainment of the laudable feat in the state.


The statement noted  that, the launching ceremony was attended by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji kabiru Balarabe, Head of  Service Alhaji  Kabiru Muhammad gayyari, Chief of staff Government House, Malan Ibrahim Suleiman Gusau, 


Others are Senator Lawal Hassan Dan iya, Emir of Gusau, His Royal Highness's Alhaji Ibrahim Bello,  Members, of of the state Executives Council, Honourable Special Advisers and APC Supporters among others,

Zamfara NSCDC Hosts Acting Provost FCET Gusau

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
