ZAMFARA ZAKKAT BOARD DISTRIBUTES 400 BAGS OF BEANS, 30 WHEEL BICYCLES TO PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED

Zamfara State Zakkat and Endowment Board has distributed 400 bags of beans and 30  wheel bicycles to disabled people in the state.

This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of board, Malam Abubakar Muhammad Sodangi during the celebration of  International Day for people with disability,  held at zakkat conference hall   in Gusau 

According to him, the  board in collaboration with Expanding Social Protection for Inclusive Development (ESPID) organized the programme with a  view to improving  the life of disabled people to celebrate World  International Day.

Malan Abubakar Sodangi  narrated that, every 2nd December is earmarked as World Disabled  Day,  and  called on wealthy  individuals to assist them, so that they can better their lives..

Malan Sodangi Explained that,  in  line with the  intention of the state government in assisting disabled persons, the state governor,  His Excellency Dr Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun,  (Barden kasar Hausa)  sent a  Permanent Secretary from the  Government House,  Sheikh Abubakar Jafar Maradun with 400 bags of  beans to be distributed to people with physical challenges in order to reduce hardship among.

Sodangi further said that,  the  board has distributed 30 wheel bicycles to  disabled people. and assured that, the gesture will be an annual event. 

Malam Abubakar Muhammad Sodangi, also announced that, the board  is planning to sponsor, training of 50 secondary school  graduates among  people with disabilities for them to become  computer literate.

Similarly a  renown Islamic scholar and also state Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Dr Tukur Sani Jangebe  has described  people with disabilities as important, calling on people  especially philanthropists to assist them. 

Dr, Tukur Sani jangebe advised people always to bring them near them and assist them without showing them discrimination.

Responding,  the state  Governor, Dr Bello Muhammad matawalle maradun (Barden kasar Hausa) who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government,  Alhaji kabiru Balatabe sardaunan Dan Isa commended the gigantic  efforts of zamfara board under the leadership of malan Abubakar Muhammad ibn sodangi, assuring that,  state government promises  to continue supporting financially for development of the state.

Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe   premises to ensure protection bill of disable people who is currently in the state house of assembly to be passing successfully.

In his vote of thanks, the secretary of the board Malam Sani Hamza Kaura, thanked the state government for supporting the board financially, and  every body who participated in the event and wished  everyone back to their various destinations safely.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
