The Chairman Elect of  the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics, (ASUP) Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talata Mafara chapter Malan Murtala Muhammad jangebe, has described the ASUP as a pressure group which is not loosed and cannot fight back when pushed to the wall.

This was Continued in a press Statement Sign by the Public Relation officer, of the Institution Malan Aliyu Damri and Made available to journalist in Gusau the state capital.

Malan Murtala Muhammad jangebe, Made this while taking over the affairs of the Union/ inauguration, held at Staff's Comon room in  talata Mafara.

Malan Murtala Muhammad jangebe, said that, the Union is ever ready to join hands with the management of the institution, in ensuring  peaceful and prosperous system, as dialogue and negotiations are the best strategies of resolving differences in a civilized society, confrontation is always the last option.

" I was elected with a high desire and expectations to transform ASUP AGP chapter and all what members want is peace, progress, accountability, transparency, sincerity, integrity, commitment and checks and balances, coupled with an articulated vision built  on the principle of justice and fairness,  adding that, my administration is determined to consolidate the gains of the out-going excos in promoting peace and stability within the Polytechnic" the statement noted.

"Academic Staff cannot have ASUP and other Unions in the absence of the Polytechnic system. Therefore, the Union as a pressure group will do the needful to ensure peace and stability" the statement said.

In his remarks  the Rector of the Polytechnic, founder Imani Foundation, Turakin Mafara  Dr. Sha'aya'u Shehu Mafara, expressed satisfaction, excitement and appreciation on the giant strides by the Electoral Committee, headed by Abubakar Sadiq Isah Gora for the conducted of the most peaceful, fair, credible and acceptable election characterized with massive turnout of the electorates.

Dr, Sha'aya'u Shehu  Mafara, Congratulate the new executives for the inauguration, called on them to remain United, peacefully, assured of support cooperate with union.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
