ELDERS COMMITTEE HAS BEEN CHARGE TO ENSURE UNITY.......zamfara acting governor

Zamfara State elders committee has been charge to ensure unity among the society.
The call was made by the State Deputy Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, while receiving the Committee who paid him a congratulatory visit in his office, over his recent appointment as new State Deputy Governor of the state.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau revealed that, the State Government's decision to revive the elders' committee which several years beclouded and shrouded so much that the atmosphere created a communication breakdown between the committee and the government, a situation that crippled any formidable channel of mediation whenever the need arises.
The Deputy Governor on behalf of the State Government called on the elders' committee to remain resolute in uniting the communities, as the doors of Governor Bello Matawalle are always opened to elders for advice.
He reassured that, the State Government is ready to support and cooperate with the elders' committee for restoration of peaceful coexistence and sustainable socio-economic development.
Speaking earlier, the Chairman of the State Committee Alhaji Lawali Abubakar (Makaman Kaura) said they are at Deputy Governor's Office to congratulate him on his new position as the State Deputy Governor.
The Makaman Kaura said they are optimistic that Jarman Gusau will live up to expectations of his principal Governor Bello Matawalle and the entire good people of the State.
He therefore, advise the Deputy Governor to maintain his status-quo as a grassroot politician and continue with his well recognised nature of carrying everyone along and accessible to all manner of people.
In attendance at the meeting were Alhaji Umar Maillitafi, Alhaji Yahaya Mai Mai Maradun, Alhaji Sahabi Liman Kaura, Alhaji Isah Dankal Shinkafi, Alhaji Abu Zahara, Hajiya A'i Maradun, Alhaji Siddi Daki Takwas, Alhaji Umar Ahmad Bungudu, among many others.
