ZMSG commissioning general hospital worth over #500million in kagara of Mafara local Government

     Zamfara State Government has commissioned the newly expanded and remodelled Kagara General Hospital in Talata Mafara Local Government area of the state. 

    In his address at the occasion, His Excellency Governor Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun), Who was represented by the State Deputy Governor,  Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau said,  the State Government initiative to transform the health facility was to augment the current drive aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality rate towards achieving universal healthcare services delivery across the State.

     


The Deputy Governor said the project cost the State Government total sum of  five hundred and forty million, seven hundred ninety two naira thirty five kobo. 

   He added that, the amount covered the cost of construction of new theatre, laboratories, maternity and general modification of the hospital's existing structures.

    He further said, this is one of the project executed by the present administration of His Excellency Governor Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) in different parts of the State aimed at deployment of quality and affordable healthcare services to the teeming populace especially at the grassroot.

     


He expressed the State Government committments of attaching maximum pariority to the general health care system in the State. "This is as witnessed in its public oriented gestures they which it constructed 147 primary healthcare centers, one in each of the 147 wards, coupled with the ongoing recruitment exercise for the employment of over five hundred health workers through the Hospital Services Management Board". He lamented.

   


The Deputy Governor also called on the management of the Hospital and relevant agencies concerned to ensure application of appropriate maintainance culture for sustainability of the project and durability of standard working facilities provided for effective and efficient health care services delivery in Kagara and its environs.

     He was accompanied at the occasion by the Secretary to Zamfara State Government, State Head of Service, Honourable Commissioners, Chief of Staff Government House, Commissioner of Police Brigade Commander, Emir of Mafara Alhaji Dr Bello Muhammad Barmo, Sole administrator of Talatar Mafara Local Government, Honourable members of the State Assembly, high level polititians, among many others.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
