Yari, Marafa and Sahabi Emerge Senatorial Flagbearers of APC in Zamfara

Former Zamfara State governor  Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar, Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa and Senator Sahabi Alhaji Ya'u today won APC Senatorial ticket at the APC Senatorial primary election. 

This was Contained in a press Statement Sign by the State APC Publicly Secretary Issued to the journalist in Gusau.


According to Statement,  the primary  election  done peacefully, also witnessed by  Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle, Deputy Governor Senator Hasan Muhammad Nasiha,  State Speaker Hon. Nasiru Mu azu Magarya,   party officials both the APC National Headquarter and the state executives among others.

The Statement Further said that, the election Supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission officials and security agencies, adding that, the former governor Abdulaziz Yari contested unopposed in the event which took place at his home local government headquarter of Talata Mafara.


'The primaries which held simultaneously in the three Senatorial Zones saw Senator Sahabi Yau clinching the Zamfara North ticket while former Senator Kabiru Marafa was given the candidature mandate by his Zamfara Central constituents'' the Statement noted.

The Statement added that, State APC Chairman Hon. Tukur Umar Danfulani expressed satisfaction in the exercise, described it as an indication that, the party will succeed in the upcoming 2023 general elections.

The Statement Explained that,  governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle thanked Allah for bringing unity in the APC in the state which he said resulted into the peaceful primaries, urged the APC members to remain United for the success of the party.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
