Persistent Hike in Price of Flour not Limited to Nigeria, but a Global Issue --- Mika 'ilu

Sharp increase in prices of flour has been described as a global factor, not a matter limited to Nigeria alone.

This was stated  by  the Managing Director of SA'IN GUSAU AND STORES, Alhaji Mika'ilu Faruk Yahuza in an interview with journalist's in Gusau.

Alhaji Mika'ilu Faruk Yahuza said that, the constant increased in price of flour started due to shortage of the commodity since the conflict   between Russia and Ukraine ensued. 

He said  Russia is the largest exporter of wheat,   with Nigeria taking  90% of wheat it exports globally.


“Before the price of bag of flour was just #18000, but now  it is sold between #25000 -and  #26000,  per bag , depending  on  the company,” Mika'ilu added.

Alhaji Mika'ilu, called on Customers to bear the Situation, saying it be  a history.

“Insecurity is one of the major Challenges that causing the hike in prices of  Commodities”, Mika'ilu noted.


He further described the relationship between  bread  baking factories in the state  and SA' IN GUSAU AND STORES, as very cordial. assuring that  the tempo will be maintained.

He commended the state  Chairman of Market Traders Association, Alhaji Usman Isah for his efforts toward the success of the association, calling on him to continue in that direction.


Alh. Mika'ilu called on people in the state to continue praying for peace and stability, considering the fact  that, no society could develop without peace.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
