Zamfara : Over Ten thousands people to benefit with Matawalle's Vision 2023 --“ Care for You”

Over ten thousand people in zamfara state to benefit from Matawalle's Vision 2023 packages of its special food and social security program.(CARE FOR YOU).
The State Deputy Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, stated this while hosting a meeting presided over with stakeholders in the running of Zamfara Cares for You program that include, Commissioners, Special Advisers, CARES Local Government sub-committee members and other critical stakeholders of the programme.
The Deputy Governor explained that, the program is a special project supported by the State Government to relieve people from the effect of Covid 19 that affect the economic and social life of the general public globally. It was hence introduced in the effort to diversify areas of boosting living conditions of people in the State.
He added that, to ensure transparency and fairness in the allocation to target beneficiaries, the State Government constituted a local government committee to ensure effective distribution as directed by the State Executive Governor.
The local government committees include commissioner representing the area to serve as chairman, while local government sole administrators, State House of Assembly members, Emirates' representatives, and Ulamah representatives are members, and Permanent Secretaries representing local governments to serve as Secretaries of the committee.
He further lamented that, the programme is to cover Food Security, Cash Transfer and Social Security, and over ten thousand people would benefit with different packages accross the fourteen local government area.
He also urged members of the committees not to abuse government intent by being selfish enough to personalize the packages contained in the exercise to benefit only their families, friends and relations only at the detriment of the genuine individuals that are hard hit by economic downturn revolving round food and security challenges.
Jarman Gusau reassured that, in order to safeguard against possible ill-advised manuever, the state government would apply discreet monitoring and feedback mechanism to track the activities of the local government sub-committees assigned.
He, therefore, called on the those to benefit from the programme to make good use of value as expected by the State Government.
In attendance at the meeting were the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Lamidon Kaura), Chief of Staff Government House Alhaji Ibrahim Suleman, Head of Service Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Gayari, Commissioners, Special Advisers, some Permanent Secretaries and Directors General, among other stakeholders.
