The zamfara state government condoled with the people of Auki district in Bungudu local government over the recent attacks by the bandits.
The State Deputy Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, who led the delegate, described the attack by bandits in the area as an act of insubordination by the criminals to disrupt relative peace being regained and State Government's efforts to ensure sustainable peace and the security in the state.
Senator Hassan Muhammad further said, the present administration of His Excellency Governor Bello Matawalle right from its inception has been trying to adopt many workable strategies for addressing insecurity challenges in all parts of the State.
He added that the peace and reconciliation process initiated by the government gave a fair hearing to all parties involved.
According to him, what is happening is the evil handwork of the remnants of culprits who refused to accept reconciliation, and the State Government would not in any way fold its arms to allow criminals be conducting their heinous activities of killing innocent citizens for just no cause.
The Deputy Governor, sympathised and condole the Emir of Bungudu Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, Bungudu Local Government, people of Auki District, families, relations and the entire people of Zamfara State over the killings, also prayed that Allah grants those who lost their lives Jannatul Firdausi and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
He therfore, on behalf of the State Governor, directed the Local Government Sole Administrator Alhaji Muhammad Maiturare to ensure urgent delivery of the State Government donations to the affected families.
In their separate speeches, the Emir of Bungudu, and Bungudu local government Sole Administrator and the District Head of the area called on the State Government to mobilise more security personnel in the area for the protection of the lives and properties of their people.
The delegation comprised, the Secretary to the State Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Lamidon Kaura), Chief of Staff Government House Alhaji Ibrahim Suleman, Emir of Bungudu, Local Government officials, Hon Special Adviser Alhaji Suleman Zumunci, Hon Special Adviser Sani Danjuma Dambo, among many top Government officials.
