Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ Zamfara State Council has Elected new Executives to run the affairs of the Union in next three years.

The Election held at the NUJ Zamfara state Secretariat Sokoto road, in Gusau.

Those Elected are Chairman, Comrade Ibrahim musa maizare, Vice Chairman Comrade Halliru M. Umar, Treasure Comrade Jamilu sani tsafe, Assistance Secretary, Hajiya  Nafisa kanoma, Financial Secretary Comrade  Mas'ud Ibrahim, Auditor Comrade Sirajo Muhammad, also Comrade Ibrahim Ahmad Gada, serve as Secretary of the Union.

Announcing the results, the Assistant National Secretary of  NUJ Comrade Akoredt Abdulraouf, said that,  only two positions that were contested chairman and treasurer, point out  that, other positions were unopposed as some of the aspirants stepped down for their opponents which made the election easier.


“Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare defeated his closest rival, Comrade Nasiru Shehu Aula with 68 votes to 31, also  Treasurership contest, Comrade Jamilu Sani Tsafe, scored 68 votes to defeat Comrade Yakubu Kaura, who polled 31 votes” Akoredt added.

In his acceptance Speech, the newly Elected Chairman Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare, assured to justify the Confidence repose in him and carry Every one along.

Comrade Ibrahim Maizare thanked all members of Union for voting him into power, also Commended NUJ Electoral Committee for their effort toward the success of the  Election.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
