Over one thousand five hundred indigenes attend the ongoing Nigerian army 84 regular intake screening exercise, in Zamfara state.
This was desclosed by the Zonal recruitment supervisor, Bridgedier A M kanoma, on the ongoing development when the State Deputy Governor Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, visited the training ground for applicants at the headquarters of 1Base Brigade Garrison of the Nigerian Army situated along Kaura-Namoda Road in Gusau.
Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau expressed appreciation over the high level of interest and dedication demonstrated by candidates in joining the Nigerian Army with a view to doing the needful within their individual capacity and collective responsibilities, knowing fully well it could mean
“Sacrificing their lives for the protection of the Nigeria's territorial integrity from invasion and any threat to internal security” Deputy Governor said
Senator Nasiha Further said that, the present administration of Governor Bello Muhammad (Matawallen maradun) is always committed to restoring peace and security, as the State is facing enormous security challenges that need the attention of all federal security outfits including the Nigerian Army.
Nasiha, urged the Nigerian Army authorities to consider Zamfara State in all the recruitment exercises, and called on the successful candidates to be good ambassadors of the State while assuring them the State Government's continuous support and cooperation throughout the exercise.
The Deputy governor commended the doggedness of the officials of the Directorate of Recruitment and Quarter System for their up and doing to ensure Zamfara is represented at all levels.
In attendance at the visit were the State recruitment officer Major J S Anderson, Hon Special Adviser Comrade Abdullahi Umar Danda Bungudu, Hon Special Adviser Sani Danjuma Dambo, Director-General Kabiru FCET, Director-General Yusuf Garba Bisu, among many others.
