Zamfara State Commissioner of police presents #2.5Million to the next of kin of Five Late police officers in the state

Zamfara State  Commissioner of Police CP Ayuba N. Elkanah psc presented the sum of two million, five hundred thousand naira on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc(+),NPM, fdc, to the Next of Kins of five (5) late  Police officers who died in active service. 

This was Contained in a press released Sign by the Police Public Relation office Zamfara State Command, SP Muhammad Shehu issued to the journalists in Gusau the state capital

According to Press released, the Commissioner who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration, DCP Olubenga Adepoju psc, mnips

“The Presentation of the cheques was in continuation of the IGP's welfare Insurance scheme  to  families of deceased Police officers”

The Commissioner  appreciates the  Inspector General of Police for his continous concern to the welfare of Police officers, “the gesture as timely and it will go along way in alleviating suffering being faced by families of deceased Police officers” Cp Explained that.

The Commissioner  assured  that, Officers and men of the Command will continue to put in their best  in the discharge of their duty for sustained peace, security and safety of the  State. 


The Commissioner of therefore charges the beneficiaries to utilize the money judiciously, “noting that, in the last ten  (11) months, the Command had received similar  cheques from the Inspector General of Police ten (10) times and presented same to the beneficiaries, Cp added


Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries Favor Peter,  thanked  the Inspector General of Police for the gesture and promised to use the money judiciously.
