ZMSG has Flagged Off Statewide Medical Out reach

The Zamfara State Governor, Dr Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) has Flagged off the statewide medical out reach of thirty five thousand people across the fourteen local governments.
The program which was organized by the State Ministry of Health, through the Zamfara State Contributory Health Care Management (ZAMCHEMA) and plag off in Bakura local government.
Speaking at the occasion, the State Executive Governor, who was represented by his Deputy Governor Senator Hassan Muhammad (Jarman Gusau) said, provisions of free health care services delivery to the people especially the vulnerable is one of the state government priority policies.
He said the present administration invests a lot of resources in enhancing the health care sector in the provision of one hundred and forty-seven wards, adding that, this is coupled with the requirements of health care personnel to manage the facilities.
The Deputy Governor confirmed to the public that, Governor Bello Matawalle has directed the Ministry of Health and ZAMCHEMA to, as a matter of urgency, ensure adequate plan to cover at least thirty-five thousand target beneficiaries among different vulnerable groups in the society.
Senator Gusau called on the Ministry to intensify monitoring of the exercise for the successful conduct of the programme.
Speaking earlier, the Hon Commissioner Ministry of Health, who represented by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Pharmacist Aliyu Maikiyo Maradun said, "as a Ministry, we must express our appreciation to the State Executive Governor for giving the Ministry and ZAMCHEMA a free hand to implement the joint State and Federal Government medical outreach to cover all the fourteen local government areas in the State targeting over 35 thousands beneficiaries."
Pharmacist Aliyu Maikiyo, also assured the State Government of his Ministry's commitment to ensure prompt and closer monitoring for attainment of the desired results, also called on the general public to always be supportive of government policies and programmes.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Executive Secretary of ZAMCHEMA Dr Abdulkadir Aliyu Shinkafi said, the agency is targeting 35 thousand vulnerable people across the State and all would be provided with necessary medicaments instantly upon doctor's recommendation.
Dr, Shinkafi expressed satisfaction with the level of turnout and the kind of support and cooperation his Agency received from the people of Bakura local government and urged other local government areas to emulate the gesture.
