OVER 120 ALMAJIRI SCHOOLS IN ZAMFARA BENEFIT FOODSTUFFS, CASH GESTURE EACH MONTH

Over 120 Almajiri Schools across Zamfara state benefit each month from the state government's gesture of assorted foodstuffs and physical cash.

This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to state governor on  Islamic  Organizations and Qur'anic Schools Welfare Board,  Dr. Atiku Shehu Balarabe Zawiyya, in an interview with The truth Newspapers  in his office, Gusau.

Dr. Atiku Shehu Balarabe said that, 10 Amajiri Schools in Gusau benefit with 10 bags of of rice, and N40,000 each, while other  three selected Almajiri schools of the 14 Local government areas of the State benefit with 10 bags of Maize and N40,000 each, adding that, over 18000 Almajiri pupils  in the state do benefit from the gesture

He commended some  businessmen and Woman in  the state, They include Alhaji Abdullahi Dankarami,  Dr, Luba Ammani, Alhaji Sanusi Sarkin Dawaki and Hajiya Fatima  Umar Shinkafi for their individual efforts in  feeding  Almajiri  pupils  in the state, calling on all and sundry  to emulate them.Alhaji Sani Abdullahi

Executive Secretary, Islamic Organization and Qur'anic School Welfere Board, (Baraden Jangebe) Alhaji Sani Abdullahi


In his contribution, the Executive Secretary of the board,  Alhaji Sani Abdullahi  (Baraden Jangebe,) opined  that, the board was created in 2004, during former Governor Ahmad  Sani Yariman Bakura's administration, adding that, so far the board has  achieved a lot,  especially in the area of assisting Almajiri,  orphans and other less privileged persons as well as promoting other Islamic activities in the state.
