Zamfara State Government Called on the neighboring states of Katsina,  Sokoto, Kebbi and Maradi region in the Republic of Niger. to Remain United and Understanding.

The called was made by the State Governor Hon (Dr.) Bello Muhammad (Matawallen Maradun) at the opening ceremony of the Multilateral Meeting on Border Security held in Katsina town, the headquarters of Katsina State, adding that, the  aimed at discussing the much needed strategies for addressing the menace of insecurity affecting the border areas of Maradi region in Niger Republic and the identified neighboring states in Nigeria. 

The Governor who was represented by his Deputy Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Hassan Muhammad Gusau said,  the insecurity challenges are issues that, bedeviled the North-East Region of Nigeria for decades, pointing out, that, with the inception of Governor Bello Matawalle as Executive Governor, a lot of effective strategies have been implemented to curtail the menace.  

The Acting Governor informed the stakeholders that, the present leadership of Zamfara State Government started with initiating the peace and reconciliation accord between farmers, herders and the bandits for permanent repentance.    

He further said this was in addition to other measures that, involved provision of two hundred brand new Hilux vehicles for security operatives, one thousand five hundred motorcycles for distributions to local community guards, construction of RUGA settlement and enacting laws for the punishment of banditry activities and any person associated with it, as well as creation of a synergy of collaboration and sensitization between the traditional institutions, Islamic scholars and the media for easy communications of vital information regarding the challenge. 

The Jarman Gusau, on behalf of Governor Bello Matawalle and the good people of Zamfara State, reiterates its commitment to joining hands with other sister States toward implementing the resolutions arrived at during the meeting to facilitate achieving the target objectives.

Senator Hassan Muhammad thanked Katsina State Government for the hospitality accorded to Zamfara contingents before, during, and after the meeting

The Meeting was attended by the Sokoto State Governor (RTH) Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Katsina State Governor (RTH) Aminu Bello Masari, the Governor of Maradi Region Alhaji Shu'aibu Abubakar, Deputy Governor of Kebbi State Col Ismaila Yombe (Rtd), Secretary to Zamfara State Government Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe (Lamidon Kaura), among many other stakeholders from the states.

Zamfara NSCDC Hosts Acting Provost FCET Gusau

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
