Zamfara State Government sympatized with Barkeji town in Kaura Namoda local government over the recent attacks on them by bandits.

This is contained in a press statement signed by the Director General Press Affiars, office of the state Deputy Governor,  Comrade Babangida Umar Zurmi.

The statemant said, the State Deputy Governor Distinguished Senator Hassan Muhammad Gusau, while sympatizing with the people of the area said,  the State Governor Dr. Bello Matawalle commiserates over the incident.

He further explained that, the State Government is tightening its belt in taking drastic measures to address the challenges and called on people to always be reporting any suspicious movement of individuals or groups to the nearest authorities for necessary action.

The Deputy Governor also, announced the donation of relief materials to affected people on behalf of the state governor Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun.

The statement added that, the Deputy Governor proceeded to a function marking the flag up of the final of the ongoing football match competition at Kaura Namoda between Seven Strikers and Young Stars.

The competition was organized by the Hon Commissioner Ministry for Agriculture Alhaji Ibrahim Jibo Magayaki Kaura to promote the good leadership style of Governor Bello Matawalle in the fight against insecurity and provision of infrastructural development in all sectors of the economy.

The match ended with two goals against the Young Stars and a trophy was presented to the winning team the Seven Strykers in addition to one hundred thousand naira donated by Special Adviser on Sports Matters Alhaji Habibu Yuguda Gusau.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
