Zamfara : CP Presents cheques worth #11Million to next of kind of 17 late police officers.

Zamfara State Commissioner of police CP Kolo Yusuf on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali  presented cheques worth Eleven Million Naira (N11,000,000) to Next of kins of 17  late Police officers who lost their lives  while on banditary operations  in  state.

This was contained in a press  Statement signed  by the Spokesperson of the Command SP Muhammad Shehu and made available to the journalists in Gusau.

According to the Statement, the Cheques presented was part of the IGP's Group life/family welfare insurance schemes,

Presenting the cheques, Cp kolo Yusuf  appreciates the  Inspector General of Police for his persistent  concern to the  welfare of serving, retired as well as families of late  Police officers, described the gesture as timely and it will go along way in alleviating the  suffering being encountered  by families of deceased  officers and will  equally boost the morale of the serving personnel to continue to put in their best in the ongoing campaign against activities of criminal elements across the country.



CP  kolo yusuf charges the beneficiaries to utilize the money judiciously.

“Some of the beneficiaries, Aisha Bello.and Dan Iro who spoke on behalf of other Next of Kins thanked the Inspector General of Police for the gesture and promised to use the money judiciously”

“In a related development, CP Kolo Yusuf desplayed  ICT equipments allocated to the Command's Insurance Office by the IGP, saying that, the gesture is part of the IGP's ongoing commitment to reinvigorate the police Insurance  department for effective service  delivery. The ICT equipments include; Brand New  HP Desktop Computer, Printer, Scanner, Photocopy Machine, USB among others. All the equioments were handed over to Officer incharge Insurance  office, ASP Hassan Abdullahi”
