“COMMEMORATION OF THE 7TH UN GLOBAL ROAD SAFETY WEEK” FRSC ORGANIZED A WEEK ACTIVITIES IN ZAMFARA

The UN Global Road Safety week is biennial global road safety campaign, It brings together individual, government, NGO's and other stakeholders from around the world to raise awareness of road safety and make changes that would reduce the number of road deaths. 

This was contained in a press released signed by the Zamfara Command Public Education Officer Route Commander Yasir Shehu, issued to the truth newspaper.

According to press released sector Commander Iro Danladi said  “The theme for this year 7th UN Global Road Safety week is "Sustainable Transport" 

Iro Danladi narrated that, the Command organize activities for the whole week, include Press conference, Workshop for Stakeholders, Hospital Visitations, Mosques and Churches Advocacy  among others, adding that, the activities bring together road users and other stakeholders in the Country.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). In a Press Statement signed by the centre’ s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Naziru Tukur and made available to newsmen, said modalities have been put in place to ensure the actualisation of the upgrade. “The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) currently offers five accredited medical programmes, with students already in 200 level” “The centre’s management has intensified efforts in providing critical infrastructure for teaching and learning at the facility,” the statement read.
