NSCDC TO COLLABORATE WITH NAPTIP IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TRAFFICKING IN PERSONS IN ZAMFARA --- COMMANDANT

The Zamfara State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps  Commandant Sani Mustapha has avowed to collaborate with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP), in the fight against Trafficking in Persons , sexual exploitation, Child labour and Child  Abuse in the State.

This was contained in a press Statement signed by spokesperson of the command 

Ikor Oche SC, issued to the truth newspaper in Gusau the state capital.

According to the statement, Commandant Sani Mustapha stated this when he hosted the State Commander of NAPTIP Mr. Aliyu Sarkin Sudan at the State Command's Headquarters Gusau.

Statement further said Commandant Sani Mustapha averred that, all it takes to support the activities of NAPTIP in the Corps are already in place.

“ The Corps under the able leadership of the Commandant General, Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi mni OFR has graciously established the Anti Human Trafficking Unit which is working closely with NAPTIP in the fight against Trafficking in Persons and other gender violence related offences”  Commandant assured.

“The Security Consumate, Commandant Sani Mustapha, however assured the   agency of the holistic support of the Corps in the prosecution of their mandates in the state”

“Meanwhile, Mr. Aliyu A. Sarki Sudan, the State Commander of NAPTIP, extolled the doggedness of the Corps in the fight against Gender Based Violence and other related offences, especially in Zamfara State”

“The State Commander of NAPTIP therefore, enumerated the constitutional mandates of the agency, which amongst others;  is to fight against Trafficking in Persons, Sexual Exploitations, Child labour, Child Abuse and other Gender Based Violence and offences”

“Mr. Aliyu said that, the essence of the visit, was to acquaint the Corps of the agency's (NAPTIP) mandate and also, to solicit for support and collaboration with the Corps in the State”

“Mr. Aliyu A. Sarki Sudan is the pioneer State Commander of NAPTIP in Zamfara State”

Zamfara NSCDC Hosts Acting Provost FCET Gusau

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
