2023 Ember Months : FRSC record 95 cases of road traffic crash, 126 dead, 535 injured in Zamfara

Zamfara State Command of the Federal road safety corp says it record of 95 cases of road traffic crash, 126 people dead, 535 injured in 2022 in the state.

This was stated by the Corp Commander Iro Danladi at the 2023  Flagg -off ceremony of Ember months,  title “Speed Thrills but kills, drive responsibly and avoid overloading. 

Commander iro Danladi who was represented by the Deputy corp commander. Muhammad Sani Madawaki  said in 2023 corp record 69 cases, 58 people dead, 248 injured, in the state, “Though the records show that the rate of road traffic crashes are drastically reducing year in out (27.4% reduction in cases and 54% reduction in deaths, more needs to be done to  maintain the tempo and even do more” 

Muhammad Sani Madawaki,  also  eulogise  the synergies of sister security agencies,  include Nigerian police force, Nigerian army, Department state services, Nigerian security and civil defence corps, Nigerian Drugs enforcement agency, Nigerian correctional services, Nigerian Immigration services, Nigerian Custom services, Federal fire services, VIO  among others. with us in the state for joining the crusade against negative attitudes that promote carnages on our road.

They have actively participated in joint patrol, rescue, traffic control operations and public enlightenment despite their sensitive engagements of stamping out armed banditry in the state.

Muhammad Sani madawaki commended the effort of medias for Publicizing the activities of the corp include the legacy and the truth newspapers, pride FM, NTA, Gamji TV/FM, Vission FM, Zamfara Radio among others, calling on them to keep it up.

Madawaki, expressed appreciation to the state Governor Dr, Dauda lawal for the unprecedented infrastructural development recorded in the state especially on road construction and maintainance whereby potholes, ditches, gorges and culverts are repaired in good time to give room for safe driving, most recent of which is total renovation of all important township roads in Gusau the state capital.

Madawaki, called on the state government to repair some depression along the sokoto bye -pass road Gusau especially the one torwards  federal medical centre Gusau, 100 housing unit and other places, also we request for the provision of more operational vehicles to the command to further enhance our activities in achieving the mandate of the corps in the state. and solicite for the repair of command transformer, repairs of wall fence and furnishing of the command office complex.

In their sprates speeches, the representatives of security personels  commended the FRSC for organizing the program, urged them to maintain the tempo.

In his speech the state Governor Dr, Dauda lawal, who was represented by the permanent secretary  ministry  works, Alhaji Shehu Baraya, assured to construct and reconstruct the roads for smoth driving in the state.

Alhaji Shehu Baraya, called on religious leaders and general public to give necessary support to  FRSC,  for it to succeed.

He assured of state government support, and assistant to the Federal road safety corp.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
