Fire outbreak destroyed properties worth Over #273million in Zamfara

Fire outbreak destroyed properties worth #273,335,230  between January to December 2023 in Zamfara State

This was disclosed by the Executive Director of the Zamfara State Fire service Alhaji Abdullahi jibo dauran in an interview with the truth newspaper in his office Gusau the state capital.

According the Executive director, they have save 842,933,340 properties, 75 injured, 80 dead, 75 fire call, all in 2023.

Jibo dauran point out the Causes of fire outbreak include sharing of nepa, careless of using gas cocker among others.

Jibo dauran advised people of the state to sweech off all electrical apparatus before sleeping or  living houses and officeses.

Jibo narrated some of  the duty of his office include, rescue operation, humanitorial serviceses among others.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). In a Press Statement signed by the centre’ s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Naziru Tukur and made available to newsmen, said modalities have been put in place to ensure the actualisation of the upgrade. “The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) currently offers five accredited medical programmes, with students already in 200 level” “The centre’s management has intensified efforts in providing critical infrastructure for teaching and learning at the facility,” the statement read.
