IGR: Kebbi to digitalise public, private sectors

In its efforts to make improvements to it Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) , Kebbi State government through the newly Created ministry of digital economy has mapped out plans to Digitalise all its public and private sectors in the state.
State Commissioner for digital economy, Hon Ibrahim M. Mohammed Sakaba revealed the plans yesterday to Journalists during an interview at his office in Birnin Kebbi.
According to him, a comprehensive blueprint on the plans has been compiled by his ministry for onward submission to governor, Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for his consideration and given prompt approval for the immediate take - up of the digitalisation program in the state.
The commissioner said that the digitalisation will commence with the institutions and hospitals in the ministries of health and higher education, agriculture, entrepreneurship firms and other business places in order for the economy of the state to raise up.
Hon Sakaba highlighted that, after the successful take-off of the digital program, hospitals and institutions for instance would pay the payments they charged into the new technological equipment as against the previous analogue.
No fewer than 500 Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have registered by the ministry in order to engage in the digitalisation program.
He called on the relevant ministries and other sectors to give the plans full support and cooperation.
