Permanent Secretaries' Forum Elects New Executives in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Permanent Secretaries' Forum has Elected new Executives Committee to run the affairs of the Forum.

In a Press Statement Signed by the Spokesperson of the Forum, Malan Bashir Salihu issued to the Journalists in Gusau the State Capital.

According to the Statement, the Forum convened its regular meeting on Tuesday, 31st December, 2024, after a long break, The meeting marked a significant milestone with the election of a new Executive Committee (EXCO) to fill all vacant leadership positions in the Forum.

Those Elected are 

1. Yakubu Sani Haidara, mni – Chairman.

2. Dr. Barira Ibrahim Bagobiri – Vice Chairperson.

3. Garba Aliyu Gayari – Secretary.

4. Shehu Baraya Gusau – Treasurer.

5. Bashir Salihu – Public Relations Officer (PRO).

6. Yazid Attahiru – Auditor

7. Musa Garba Bukkuyum – Legal Adviser.

“The election of the new leadership is seen as a strategic step to commence 2025 with renewed energy and commitment. The Forum aims to provide credible inputs to the State Government for people-centered policies and programs”

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the newly elected Executives members, the Chairman, Yakubu Sani Haidara, mni, expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in them. 

He pledged to discharge their duties with utmost dedication, not only to safeguard the interests of the Permanent Secretaries but also to collaborate with the State Government, through the office of the State Head of Civil Service, in restoring the lost glory of the civil service in Zamfara State.

The Chairman also emphasized the importance of innovation and invited suggestions from members of the Forum and from all well-meaning citizens of the State to drive the civil service towards greater efficiency and effectiveness.

The Forum remains committed to promoting unity among its members and contributing meaningfully to the development of the civil service and the State at large.

Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

From Ibrahim G Ahmad   The Zamfara State Healthcare System have currently meet with challenge of brain drain due to the heinous activities of bandits and other criminals in the state. Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
