ZMSG to Spend Over #140Billion in roads and other Infrastructures projects in the State

Zamfara State Government to spend over one Hundred and fourty Billion (140b) in roads and other Infrastructures projects in the State.

This was disclosed by the Commissioner Ministry of works and infrastructure Alhaji Baraya while depending the 2024 appropriation allocated to the ministry before  the House Committee on finance and appropriation.

According to the Commissioner these projects will include the ongoing reconstruction of major roads in Gusau metropolis under the State government's urban renewal policy.

Contributions of drainage and other infrastructures projects across the fourteen local government are also included, he noted.

Baraya further explain that the earmarked funds for these projects to be implemented by the ministry representing 34 percent of the total State appropriation.

The urban renewal projects aimed to provide the necessary the necessary infrastructure to attract more investors the State he noted.

The Commissioner also added that all the Contracts awarded to the contractors his excellency the executive Governor has gave them a minimum of one year to complete the work for next level.

In a related development the Commissioner ministry for local government and Chieftancy affairs  Alhaji Ahmad Yandi said the ministry under his supervision will spend 1.95b in the 2024 budget for the reconstruction of 18 emirate palaces belonging to traditional rulers in the State.

Speaking with Assembly's Corrospandat shortly after he depended the 2024 budget proposal of the ministry the Commissioner made the announcement.

The Commissioner noted   that Insha Allahu this works will be Commence very soon in order to achieve the desired goals of his excellency on his mission.
