Tea and Bread Sellers Association of Nigeria has appealed on the Federal Government to save it from collapse over economic tension confronting it.
Zamfara State Chairman/National Vice president, Tea Sellers association, Alhaji Sani Magawata, made the appeal in an interview with the truth newspaper in Gusau, saying that, the appleal became imperative considering that, hick in price tea and bread making materials.
He indicated that, as a result of economic hardship and business downturn members of the association found themselves, most of them could no longer afford to continue with their businesses, largely due to continued hike on prices of commodities, particularly sugar, yeast, flour etc.
The Chairman described the association's business as very popular worldwide, but expressed pessimism, that if the present condition persists, the business would likely become a history.
He said if the Federal Government can assist members of the association, it would be business as usual.
He enjoined Nigerians to embark on massive prayers for quick restoration of peace and stability in the country for progress and development to triumph
. Alhaji Sani Magawata, commended Zamfara state govenment for its efforts towards improving business activities in the state.
He Called on the state Government to assist the association whatever way possible for it to succeed, and called on all members to support government policies and programs for it to achieve its objective of delivering dividend of democracy to its citizens.
