Commander 1 Brigade of the Nigeria Army,  Brigadier S. Ahmed said they have successfully clear bandits hideouts in Zamfara state.

Commander  Brigadier General  S. Ahmed discloused this during a 2023 West African Social activities (WASA) organize by the Nigeria army held at 1 brigade Garrison Gusau,


Brigadier S Ahmad Explained that,,West African  social activities (WASA) is an annual program orgernize by the army  to intract army, other officers, and their families, adding the history of wasa started in 1901.

S.  Ahmed described the 2023 WASA was Colorful, and interactive, Commended the orgarnizers for their job weldone, called on them to keep it up.


Brigadier S Ahmad who was represented by the Chief of staff 1 Brigade Col, J. Umaru narrated that, the hideout include, Sunke, Gando, Munhanye, and Kuyanbana forests in State.

“We Constribute emencely to training  the Community guard by the State government which to be passing out soon”  S. Ahmad said.

In his remarks State Governor  Dr, Dauda lawal, who was represented by the Chief protocol officers Alhaji Abdullahi Commended Army and other secuirity for their effort of restoring peace in the state, assured to continue support them to the success, 

He expressed happiness for the 2023 WASA, described it as welcome development to army and other state Security, called on them to be united at time.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). In a Press Statement signed by the centre’ s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Naziru Tukur and made available to newsmen, said modalities have been put in place to ensure the actualisation of the upgrade. “The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) currently offers five accredited medical programmes, with students already in 200 level” “The centre’s management has intensified efforts in providing critical infrastructure for teaching and learning at the facility,” the statement read.
