FIDELITY BANK DISTRIBUTES FOODSTUFF TO ZAMFARA CIVIL SERVANTS

Zamfara state branch of Fidelity Bank has distributed foodstuff to civil servants and pensioners as Ramadan walfare package in the state.
The distribution ceremony was held at the state ministry for finance in Gusau the state capital.
The regional manager of the bank , Alhaji Muhd Aliyu noted that the gesture was purposely for state civil servants and pensioners to assist them perform Ramadan fast with ease and happiness. He added that the bank, state government and civil servants are partners in an effort to develop the state.
The distributed items included Rice, Indomie, Gari among others. He thanked the state Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal for the support and cooperation given to the bank to succeed in its transactions across the state. He hoped it will maintain the tempo.
In his remarks, the state Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal, represented by the chief of the staff, Alhaji Mukhatar Muhammad lugga thanked the bank for providing the gesture to civil servants and pensioners in the state and called on other commercial banks in the state to emulate it by providing similar gesture to enhance good cordial relationship with the state government.
In his earlier remarks ,the Commissioner for finance, Muhammad Bello Auta, noted, " we recognize the importance of supporting and empowering our host communities to grow and prosper." He added, " it is our belief that by investing in well - being of the communities where we operate, we contribute to building a better society for all."
Alhaji Muhammad Bello Auta also said the initiative falled under the corporate social responsibility ( CSR) pillar for youth empowerment, as we understand that providing necessities such as food is foundamental to enabling individuals to reach their full potential.
He further noted that the introduction of the fidelity food Bank initiative underscores our commitment to eliminating hunger in disenfranchised communities across Nigeria.
He said we proud to partner with well-meaningful organisations to provide food items to Indiginent members of society on a regular basis.
In another development, the state Accountant General, Alhaji Ali Akilu Bungudu said it was a welcome development considering that out of 24 commercial banks in Country only fidelity bank has done this to Indigine civil servants and pensioners in the state . Hopely more gesture to continue providing by the bank in the state and called on others banks to emulate this ideas.
