Over 2000 intending pilgrims have deposited their Hajj fare with the Zamfara state Hajj commission to perform this year's pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
This was disclosed by the Permanent Commissioner of Da'awa, Hadaya and publicity committee, Alhaji Iliyasu Buhari Maijega during a chat with media men in his office in Gusau recently.
According to him, the Zamfara state Hajj commission was allocated over 3,000 seats by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria ( NAHCON) .
Alhaji Iliyasu Buhari Maijega further stated that, so far so good, we thank Almighty Allah as presently we pass so many states in Nigeria in terms of good performance of registration and depositing this year's Hajj exercise in the state.
He also called on the intending pilgrims to strive and complete the remaining balance because the issue of Hajj depended on foreign exchange rates. He hoped the federal government will intervene so that pilgrims will not to pay much money for the this year 2024 Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Iliyasu Buhari Maijega who is also a PDP starlwart and spokesperson talked about the recent crisis in the Zamfara state House of Assembly which he described as unfortunate considering that People's Democratic Party, PDP, has the majority in the house while APC has only six members but closed house the for reasons of insecurity in Zamfara state.
He revealed that,Dr Dauda Lawal's top periority is issue of security that is reason why created Community Protection Guards ,CPG, in the state with the aim to collaborate with security agencies to protect the lives citizens in zamfara state. So therefore, zamfara people never get good leader like Dr Dauda Lawal who has zamfara people in his hearth. He also advised 18 state assembly members of the people Democratic party PDP to be United don't even allow opposition party to destroy them because zamfara people who voted them and have good confidence in them to protect their lives and properties in the state.
