ZAMFARA ZAKAT BOARD, DANGOTE FOUNDATION GIVE RICE AND MONEY TO 2000 ORPHANS, LESS PRIVILEGED

   Zamfara state Zakat and Endowment Board in collaboration with Aliko Dangote Foundation has distributed 2000 bags of rice and money to orphans and less privileged in the state.

 This was disclosed by the Executive Secretary of the board, Malan Habibu Muhammad Balarabe Zawiyya during the distribution ceremony  held at the board's headquarters in Gusau.

  According to him, the programme was a joint effort between Aliko Dangote Foundation and Zakat board to assist orphans less privileged to perform sallah celebration with ease and happiness.

  The Executive Secretary who was represented by the Director Distribution of the board, Malan 

Tsalhatu Umar Jauri, said the assistance was  given with a view to reduce hardship among the society in the state.

 He also called on other philanthropists to emulate Aliko Dangote foundation to  collaborate with the board in its effort  to assist poor and Indigent people in the Zamfara state.

 He also explained that each orphan  and less privileged person will be given a bag of rice and N5,000.

   Speaking earlier,  Chairman of the board,  Sheikh Umar Ahmad Ibn kanoma said the Zakat board Is a home of orphans and less privileged that relentlessly tried  to give special treatment to orphans and less privileged people to enable them live happily in the society.   

  The Chairman also advised the distribution committee to conduct its assignment with fear of Allah and also to remember that there is life after death.

  In his remarks,  the representative of Aliko Dangote Foundation, Ahmad Indagi said  he was in Zamfara to witness the distribution arrangement to the orphans and less privileged people and liase with all the committees handling the assignment in Zamfara state.
