Constituencies calls for reinstatement of members in Zamfara

The constituencies of the eight suspended lawmakers has in hundred staged a peaceful protest in Gusau, calling for the reinstatement of their members.
The Constituencies which include; Maru North, Tsafe West, Bungudu west Gummi east, Bukkuyum north, Maradun one, Talata Mafara north and Bakura held the protest in Gusau on Tuesday.
Speaking to newsmen on behalf of gathering, Sufuya Abdullahi from Maru north constituency said "we are out for this peaceful demonstration to register our grievances before the State Governor, State House of Assembly and general public"
"We are let behind interm of development because the lawmakers representing the areas are no longer in the house, so non of our problem or request could be channel to government". He added
Saifullahi said the suspension of the eight members by the Zamfara State house of assembly under the leadership of Bilyaminu Ismail Moriki was unconditional and undemocratic.
According to him, the lawmakers were into fifth month on suspension for aligned attempt to impeach the speaker of the house. And this had made the constituencies to feel segregate in the governance.
Stressing that since the time the members were suspended non of their constituencies needs was give any attention throughout the period under review.
"We are therefore, calling on governor Lawal as matter of urgency, and in the interest of justice, fairness to review the issue with the aim of finding lasting solution and lift up the members suspension from the state assembly. We confidence in you and your governance." He said
