FUGUS Convocation: Gov, Dauda Commends VC, management

Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has commended the leadership and management of the federal University Gusau (FUGUS) under Vice chancellor Professor Mu'azu Abubakar Gusau for making the best use of the limited resources available despite the face of operational constraints amidst competing demand.
Governor dauda stated this during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th combined convocation ceremony held at convocation arena at the university in the state.
Governor dauda point out that, despite challenges, "I have noticed a stead rise in students enrollment and increase in the number of courses the university is offers.
He congratulate the vice chancellor, senate and congregation for these lofty achievements.
In his remarks vice chancellor of the university, Prof Mu'azu Abubakar, congratulated the graduated students for their successful graduation, called on them to be good ambassadors were ever they might found themselves.
Professor mu'azu noted that, the convocation ceremonies afford university authorities the opportunity to showcase the various levels of progress made in the university over the years, including but not limited to the conferment of honorary doctorate degrees (honoris causa), on deserving members of the public who have distinguish themselves in their chosen fields of endeavour and have made significant contribution to the advancement of humanity.
In his remarks chancellor, HRH Engr, Arct, Ezeogo ewa elechi, welcome all those attended the program prayed Allah to returned them back to their respective destination safely.
He commended the governing council and the management team of the university for handling all matters in line with the prescribed regulations, commended academic and non academic staffs of the university, for tremendous job of teaching, supervising, and mentoring our students, despite other challenges that you and the university might be facing.
He said the university has challenges that included, cases of kiddnaping, and general insecurity, securing funds for infrastructural development.
