Motorcycle, tricycle riders data capturing aid security - FRSC

The on going data capturing of motorcycle, tricycle riders by Zamfara State Government will aid traffic management and security of the state.

The Sector Commander Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC) Zamfara Command, Musa Udu made the assertion in an interview with newsmen in Gusau, the state capital.

Udu who is newly deployed to the command said part of the policies appreciate in the was the urban renewal projects, State Roads Traffic Agency and Data capturing of motorcycle, tricycle riders.

He said the data capturing would no doubt FRSC in the control and management of traffic and in case of any security breach the culprits can be easily identified and apprehended by security operatives.

He said the support of state government in the roads traffic management was quite impressive especially collaboration with state agencies.

He commended the sisters security agencies for synergy and continued support to corps during operation particularly intelligence sharing with the sector command.

“On my resumption to the state I almost receive all the agencies on courtesy visit, this demonstrate good working relationship and collaborative effort in dealing with the state challenges”

While appreciating the Federal Government for the reconstruction and dualization of Zaria to Sokoto, he warn the motorist to be more careful on the roads, as deriving under special condition required more attention.

He called on the construction companies used adequate roads signs and train their personnel on traffic control to ensure safety of the roads users.

He urged public to desist from night journey considering the road condition due to construction work, rainfall and insecurity.

Udu identified overloading by the vehicles conveying goods from Kano to Sokoto and Kebbi as the major challenge in the command, "we are seriously fighting the menace and we will continue to book any one found one thing.
