NSCDC BOSS SIGNS OATH TO PROTECT THE VULNERABLE AGAINST GENDER BASE VIOLENCE IN ZAMFARA

The Zamfara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Commandant Sani Mustapha have signed the oath to protect the Vulnerable especially the Girl Child against any form of Gender Base Violence (GBV).

In a press statement signed by the spokesperson of the command, Ikor Oche SC, and made available to the truth newspapers in Gusau the state capital.

According to the statement, Commandant Sani Mustapha noted that, the Corps in the State has already established a unit that deals strictly on GBV and liaises with NAPTIP to prevent all forms of child molestations.

“The signing of the oath as presented by National Orientation Agency is a rekindle of the Corps' operational strategic plans against those who are found culpable of GBV henceforth” Sani said.

 “In line with the directives and the enactment of law by the nationaly assembly for all Hospitals and clinics to treat Victims of Gunshots without recourse to security report, the Corps is in complete compliance with it in the State”  he noted.

Earlier, the State Director of National Orientation Agency  Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim call on the Commandant, raised Concern over the full compliance with the legislation allowing Gunshot victims to be treated without demands for security report in any medical facility. 

He also enjoined the Corps to  partner with other agencies for a holistic fight against insecurity in the state.

The NOA State Director therefore condemned all manner of GBV against the vulnerable , so in the fight against GBV,  a certificate of oath was given to the State Commandant, to reiterate his stand against GBV.
