Over 2500 Students graduates from Federal university Gusau --- VC

A total number of  2534 students graduates from Federal university Gusau.

This was disclosed by the vice chancilor of the university professor Mu'azu Abubakar Gusau in a press compress to mark the 3rd and 4th Combined convocation ceremonies held at Council chamber of the institution.

Professor Mu'azu narrated the institution was established 11 years ago along -side two others Federal University Birnin kebbi and Federal university Gashiwa in yobe state, adding that, fug started acadamic activities in 2014 - 2015 academy session.

Prof mu'azu noted that, the institution are in progress also recorded modest achievement include, about 95% application for research funding by staff of the university were Approved and supported by Tetfund, all the remaining 15 acadamic programs bearing interim acredation were granted full accredation by the National University commission, the university commence post graduate studies, a total of 190  staff of the university have benefited scholarship by the TETfund among others.

“achievements could not  recorded anywhere without some challenge, the challenges we were facing  as an institution is not unique to us alone but other federal institutions in nigeria and north west in particular, the challenges are funding and insecurity bedeviling us”

“The needs of our institutions are enormous and the founding from the federal government is always inadequate, need for all well - to - do individuals, to invest heavily on education thereby complementing the efforts of the federal government, on security, government at all levels should come in and do the needful with the aim of making our institutions conducive for learning and peaceful for progress and development”
