Newly Elected SWAN Executives

The Bauchi state Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has elected new executive officers to run the affairs of it's Members for the next three years.

The election which took place at the NUJ Secretariat Bauchi on Thursday under the suppervision of the North East Zonal Vice President of the Association, produced Mallam Bala Bawaji as Chairman and Elizabeth Kah as Secretary.

Other officers elected are Adamu Shehu Imam Vice Chairman, Selya Yarnab Treasure, Imrana Yakubu Galaje Wealfere Officer, Abubakar Usman Shehu Financial Secretary, Mubarak Aliyu Bako Assistant Secretary while Mohammed Nasiru Shuaib and Abdullahi Shehu Yankari serves as Ex - Officio Members.

In his Speach after taking orth of office by the newly elected executives, the National President Sports Writers Association of Nigeria SWAN Mr. Benjamin Isaiah, who was represented by the North East Zonal Vice President Mallam Ahmed Amshi, congratulated the Exco's and called on members to change their mindset and be guided by the code of conduct, ethics and operational procedures of the profession.

"I was highly impressed with the way and manners the election was conducted in Bauchi, as it demonstrated sportsmanship and sprit of togetherness among members in the interest of sports development in the state"  President said.

The President heartly commended the chairmen and members of the election committee for organizing a wonderful, peaceful and successful election in Bauchi and appreciate all stakeholders for show of maturity and understanding exhibited before, during and after the election exercise.

In his acceptance speech, the new brand  chairman of chapter, Mallam Bala Bawaji of FRCN Glob fm Bauchi, , expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for witnessing the success and peaceful end of the election process despite friendly disagreements, and agreements over constitutional issues. Saying that this is an indication that Bauchi State SWAN is growing stronger and better than before.

Bala Bawaji use this opportunity to commend the national President for the fatherly and admirable leadership qualities he is demonstrating and assured him of Bauchi State chapters total support and loyality.

The chairman also appreciate the roles played by all stakeholders in ensuring the harmonious relationship of all members in the state that led to the historic peaceful and successful election.

Zamfara NSCDC Hosts Acting Provost FCET Gusau

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
