General Lagbaja advises dissident Nigerians to drop their arms, embrace Dialogue to address Grievances for national development.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, has appealed to Nigerians who have taken up arms against the state to drop their arms and seek for dialogue with authorities concern to address their grievances amicably in the interest of the national.
He however said the dissident Nigerians who took arms against the state should see reason that its only in an atmosphere of peace,and tranquility that the country’s economy can thrive and progress for national development.
“I’m appealing to Nigerians who have taken up arms against the state to see reason that its only in an atmosphere of peace that the economy can thrive, experience progress and all those things they desire from the government can be realized.
Lt. Gen.Taoreed Lagbaja, stated this during interaction with journalists shortly after the commissioning of New Armoured Corps Headquarters at the Obienu Barracks in Bauchi Wednesday, where he said the disgruntled should instead seek dialogue and other means through which their grievances can be addressed.
He charged his troops to continue doing the good job they are doing and known for, remained disciplined, dedicated and committed to the task the Army has been charged with under the Nigerian Constitution.
The Chief Army Staff tasked the troops not to relent on what they were doing regardless of the challenges being faced from the tatters, but instead continue to soldier-on until they accomplished peace and security in the nation.
He described the troops as the fulcrum of the fighting force, and bedrock of the things they do as an army, hence the placing them on premium, while getting feedback from them with a view to addressing their challenges ranging from pay, promotion, and other issues such as allowances, among others.
Our Correspondent reports that General Taoreed Lagbaja and his entourage were in Bauchi for the official commissioning of the New Headquarters of the Nigerian Army Armoured Corps (NAAC) and pulling out retired Armour Generals which celebration was themed, “Enhancing The Capacity of NAAC for Improved Operational Efficiency Within A Joint Environment”.
Also commissioned at the occasion graced by among other dignitaries, was the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111, are NAAC Fire Service Station and NAAC Fuel Station
