Governor Mohammed a Good Sent Administrator -- Says Wanka

The chievements recorded in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management begain with the establishment  of the Ministry by the Present administration under the focused and capable leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed.

The Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka stated this while showcasing the Ministry's Multiple records of achievements that have direct bearing to good people of Bauchi State at the 2024 Ministerial press briefing organized by the State Ministry of Information and Communication held at Auditorium of the state Secretariat complex Bauchi. Wednesday, 10th july, 2024.

According to the Commissioner, the Ministry has Four MDAs under it's direct Supervision that includes, Sustainable Development Goals,Social Investment Programmes Office, State Emergency Management Agency/Fire Service and Agency for Persons with Disabilities.

Wanka said under the benevolence of the National awaard Winner, Governor Bala Mohammed, the Ministry through the 4 MDAs has performed mavilosily and creadibly well to the satisfaction of the electorates which Serves as devidends of democracy to the good people of Bauchi State as One of His Excellency most priority.

Hajara Wanka, explained to journalists at the briefing that Governor Bala Mohammed's administration desire to achieve his agenda of good governance to the People was responsible for the giant strides in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.

Wanka said with the active support of Senator Bala Mohammed, the Ministry was eble to make 2 major Palliative distributions throughout the state, Prompt response to incidents of internally displaced Persons, Wind Storm victims, also using Sallah and Christmas Celebrations to motivate the Workforce and Citizens and also assisted Less Privileged and Vulnerable House holds with different interventions as approved by the Governor.

Other achievements are, distribution of farm implement to three hundred Woman and Youth farmers across ten LGAs in 2020 and another distribution of farm inputs in 2024 to boost agricultural activities in the state as an initiative under AUDA-NEPAD for innovative strengthening of small holder farmers capacities towards productive Land restoration and Covid-19 in Nigeria. While,,,, in 2018/202019 , the Ministry under Conditional Grants Scheme Project CGS received the sum of #500,000,000 for infrastructural facilities.

During the year under review, the Ministry, hosted North East Sensitization Workshop on violence free election organized by AUDA-NEPAD Abuja in Collaboration with Bauchi State Government under SDGs Office on the 17th February 2023, It also distributed SDGs new edition text books for Primary 4, 5 and 6 to some selected public Schools across the 3 Senatorial districts supplied by OSSAP Abuja.

Governor Mohammed's wonderful chievements in the  Ministry that made it center of attraction in the state was Refurbishment / Repairs of 4 Nos Toyota Hilux vehicles, Purchasing and Printing of face mask, T/ shirts to increase visibility of SDGs, Participated at both National and International Conferences for enhancement of performance, a 3 Day Capacity building enhancement training Workshop organized for Hon.Members of the State House of Assembly on Sustainable Development Goals as a Panacea for Sustainable Growth Development and good Governance, held in Gombe in February 22nd ,2024

"The Ministry advocated for and got more budgetary provision and greater funding window to pursue SDGs and AUDA-NEPAD Mandate, Sponsored Students with disability to Nigeria farm craft Centre for the blind at Ikeja Lagos and Kaduna rehabilitation in Kakuri and Supply training Materials in the blind Workshops to fully engage the blind Craft Men and Women for their purposeful development". Wanka presented.

While expressing gratitude and handful of appreciation to Senator Bala Mohammed for the support and free hand for the Ministry to chieve what it achieved just within it creation to date under his administration, Hajara Wanka also Commend Ministry of Information for organizing the Ministerial press briefing where all organizations under this people's oriented Government showcased it performance and also appreciate the role the Media is playing towards effective and timely decimination of the achievements of His Excellency to the public.

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team. Insecurity: Zamfara hospitals surfer brain drain - Doctor call rescue

Dr. Aminu Abdullahi of Federal Medical Center (FMC) Gusau made the revelation in a presentation tittle "Internal Brain drain Prons  and Cons in Security Challenge state,  The presentation was made at the Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference organised by the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) FMC Gusau Chapter, held in Gusau.
