FRSC partners State Fire Service on fire fighting training in Zamfara

Zamfara Sector Command Federal Roads Safety Corps seeks partnership with  State Fire Service to train personnel on fire fighting.

The Sector Commandant, Umar Massaudu made the request at a courtesy visit  to the Director State Fire Service Board, Abdullahi Jibbo in Gusau.

Massaudu said that part of his motive behind the visit was to established partnership on training and retaining of the corps personnel on fire fighting for effective rescue of accident victims.

He said that some times roads crashes  involved fire outbreak therefore, the skills to operate fire fighting tools was very critical to save lives and properties.

He urged the state fire service to assist the corps with the fire extinguishers and other fire fighting tools.

Similarly, the sector commandant solicited for the support of Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello on public enlightenment, "as a farther, whose words reach the ears of all, we are requesting you to talk to roads users and the general public to be safety conscious on the roads always.

"We remain grateful to your advice and other support of all kind," he said.

Responding  Jibbo promised to render unallowed support and cooperation to the corps.

"We are ever ready to provide you with the necessary fire preventive tools and mechanism”

"When FRSC personnel can effectively fight fire during accidents more lives and property will be safe in the event of crashes," he said.
