Zamfara NYSC Coordinator louds Corps Members for their patriotism, positive impact in their host communities

The Zamfara State Coordinator of National Youth Service Corps, Mallam Muhammad Lawan Ahmed  lauds the 2023 Batch C Stream I corps members for their patriotism and positive impact in  their host communities.

Coordinator made the  commendation in Gusau on Thursday during in a  low-key programme to mark their formal passing-out from the NYSC scheme.

Mallam Ahmed highlighted the notable services of corps members in schools, hospitals, private businesses as well as through their weekly and personal community development initiatives, “noting that their modest contributions has further boosted the relevance of the scheme to the nation”

He noted that the legacies of the corps members will continue to remain in the minds of the people of the state long after they had left the scheme.

The Coordinator  urged the outgoing corps members  to be good ambassadors of the NYSC and Zamfara State at large, noting that their selfless services will continue to be needed in charting a prosperous future for the nation.

"having received intensive training on leadership, and imbibed the qualities of patriotism, nationalism and selfless services, you are therefore expected to bring  them to bear in any environment you find yourself"he urged them.

He advised the corps members to leverage on the various skills acquired during the service year and take advantage of available funding options to start their own businesses.

He described self-employment as the best and safest means to eke a living in the world today, stressing that they should always engage in lawful ventures.

Mallam Ahmed reminded the corps members to always avoid night journey and advised those who wish to stay back after the service year to do so, describing the people of the Zamfara State as friendly and accommodating. 

He thanked Governor Dauda Lawal for his avowed commitment to the  welfare and security of corps members and pledged the continuous support of the scheme to his administration.

An highlight of the programme was the distribution of Certificates of National Service to deserving corps members.

Zamfara NSCDC Hosts Acting Provost FCET Gusau

Provost Federal College of Education Technical (FCET) Gusau, Dr. (Mrs) Onazi B. Oluwatoyin and her management team.
