Bauchí First Lady, NGO Empowers 723 Youth, Women, offers Scholarships to 41 Students

An (NGO) Almuhibbah Foundation, founded by the First Lady of Bauchi State, Hajia Aisha Bala Mohammed, has informed that the aims of the Foundation is to address some key pressing issues that has direct impact on the development of Communities, especially empowering Women and Youth through Education, Agriculture, Health initiative and Skills acquisition.

Aisha Bala Mohammed made this known recently at the Dr. Sulaiman Adamu Square Government House Bauppchi, while presenting empowerment to over 723 Women and Youth across the 20 Local Government Areas of the state.

The Bauchi First Lady, explained that the " businesses we supporting today range from Local Catering, Popcorn making, Soft drinks, Tofu making (Awara), Animal Rearing, Irrigation Farming tools, Tailoring Machines, Grinding machines and deep Freezers"

The Almuhibbah Foundation Founder, said " This initiatives have not only provided an avenue for financial independence but provides a sense of hope and purpose"

She said Almuhibbah Foundation recognized that small businesses are the backbone of  economic development and poverty eradication, hence the need for the foundation to ensure that these Young people and Women in our Communities have the resources and knowledge they need to succeed.

Aisha Mohammed said, " As we empower Youths and Women, we must also acknowledge their progress and address the challenges that can hinder their it, particularly the issue of drug abuse"

She expressed concern as many Young people fall to substance abuse,which leads to devastating consequences that affect their health, families and Communities.

Hajia Aisha expressed the Foundation's Commitment towards proving lectures and awareness programs to help Youths and Women understand the risks of drugs abuse and the importance of making healthier choices.

Adding that Almuhibbah Foundation is not only about creating opportunities but also about addressing the deeper challenges that hinder personal growth.

Hajia Aisha revealed that, Almuhibbah Foundation provides scholarships to children from vulnerable households at the levels of Primary, Secondary and Tertiary. While today the foundation is giving Scholarships to 41 less privileged Students at Tertiary level to the tune of Eleven Million Seven Hundred thousand Naira.

Aisha Mohammed use this occasion to appreciate the foundation's development partners, such as PHI, ISDB, UNFPA, Individuals and groups for their support towards ensuring the success story of Almuhibbah Foundation.
