Usman Shehu Usman takes over as Bauchí Comm. of Information and Communication

In his determination to reposition the State information system for effective, timely, accurate and impactful information dissemation of Government Policies and initiatives across the state and beyond, in line with the new information order,the newly appointed Commissioner of Information and Communication, Bauchi State Hon. Usman Shehu Usman, has promised to join hands with all stakeholders.

The Commissioner gave the assurance on Friday, at the occasion of official assumption of office and taking over where he charged management and staff of the Ministry to prioritize their statutory responsibilities and be proactive in the discharge of their official duties for effective performance and justification of their responsibilities.

Usman Shehu promised to build a very strong collaboration with journalists in the state, considering the fact that all government activities are Media events hence the need to work together to constantly propagate government policies and programmes effectively.

While assuring to strengthen digital communication and the welfare of the Ministry’s staff to boost their morale, the commissioner also informed that he will focus on capacity building of Staff to equip them with the necessary skills to meet the test of time for better service delivery.

The commissioner reiterated his determination to do everything humanly possible to support the state government by ensuring proper dissemination of information of government programmes and Policies.

“This Ministry plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the government and the people. Effective communication is not merely about disseminating information; it is about building trust, fostering understanding, and ensuring that the voices of our citizens are heard.

“To achieve this, I believe in the power of collaboration. I value each of you and your unique skills and expertise. I encourage open and honest dialogue, where we can share ideas, brainstorm solutions, and work together to overcome any challenges we may face.

“Our success depends on our collective efforts.I pledge to work tirelessly with each of you to ensure that we effectively communicate the laudable programs and initiatives of His Excellency, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad, as contained in “My Bauchi Project” and address the communication needs of our people.

“Let us work together to build a stronger, more informed and successful society through effective and impactful communication.

“To fulfill the responsibilities of this office, I recognize the crucial need for collaboration. I seek the unwavering support and cooperation of all media professionals and media aides"

The outgoing commissioner of  information and Communication, Usman Danturaki, congratulated his Successor on his well deserved appointment and expressed confidence that the entire Ministry's staff  will extend support and loyality to him in best interest of the state to succeed, just as he enjoys good working relationship with them.

The handover ceremony was witnessed by the management staff, head of agencies under the Ministry, friends, relatives ,PDP stakeholders from Giade Local Government Area and  other Associates.
