ZACCIMA PRESIDENT ADVOCATES FOR REGIONAL INCLUSION IN NATIONAL ECONOMIC POLICY FRAMEWORK, RESOURCE SHARING

President Zamfara Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, ZACCIMA, Dr. Hassan  Buhari Tafida,  has raised the need for inclusion of the Northern regíon in formulation of national economic policies, and working collaborations between government's  ambits, key players and stakeholders in the private sector.

Dr Hassan Buhari Tafida made the clarion call while presenting a paper entitled 'Driving MSME Growth Through Strategic Partnership' at an interactive session organized by the Bank of Industry, BOI, in collaboration with the Organized Private Sector, OPS, and  the Nigerian Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines  and Agriculture, NACCIMA, held  at the BOI's Headquarters in Abuja recently.

The ZACCIMA President who represented  Northwest Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, underscored the critical importance, roles and contributions of SMSMEs in rejuvenating innovations, job creation and economic diversification, especially in the Northeast region.

He expressed optimism, that the interactive season would explore opportunities and fruîful outcomes that will engender SMMEs to thrive in significantly contributing to national economic development.

Dr  Tafida, commended the Bank of Industry, BON and the Organized, Private Sector and  MACCIMA for their commotment towards empoering M SMEs  and  recognising  their potentials as strong pillars of Nigeria's economy. 

He lamented that the Northern region, especially northwest, is facing series of economic challenges, however expressed his determination to continue evolving positve ways, innovations and advocating for inclusion of the region in nation economic programs and activities as well as championing growth of MSMEs generally.

A statement jointly issued by # Dr Hassan Tafida, #SMEMs, #NACCIMA, #Private Secor Engagement, #Economic Growth, # Northwest Nigeria and# BOI, indicated that  the onteractive session was a solid step in addressingpressing issues, proffering solutions and redefining actions to foster MSMEs' growth for a robust national economy.

The  joint statement, further stressed that the Session also centred around the Federal Government's N75 billion MSMEs Fund in order to ensure equitable disbursement, accessibility and  long term sustainability for MSMEs nationwide.
