ZMSG Hosts Inaugural Human Capital Development Meeting

The Zamfara State Government has held the inaugural meeting of the Human Capital Development (HCD) Council, marking a significant step toward fostering sustainable growth and development in the state. 

In a Press Statement Singed by the Technical aide to Special Adviser Human Capital Development on media and Communication, Malan Biliyaminu Muhammad issued to the Journalists in Gusau the State Capital.

According to Statement, The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Governor, Malam Mani Malam Mummuni brought together key stakeholders to discuss critical thematic areas, including health, education, youth development, and community engagement.

The Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of human capital development as a cornerstone for the administration's vision of building a prosperous and inclusive Zamfara State. 

He reiterated the government's commitment to addressing challenges in these sectors through innovative and collaborative approaches.

“A highlight of the meeting was the presentation of a comprehensive Human Capital Development Strategy Document by the Special Adviser on Human Capital Development, Hon Nura Surajo Gusau. The document outlines actionable plans and strategic initiatives aimed at addressing gaps in the identified sectors”

“It serves as a blueprint for ensuring that the state leverages its human resources to drive economic growth, improve service delivery, and enhance the quality of life for its citizens”

“Key discussions during the meeting included, Health Strategies to improve access to quality healthcare services, with a focus on maternal and child health, as well as the provision of essential medical equipment and facilities”

“Education: Plans to enhance access to quality education at all levels, reduce out-of-school children, and improve infrastructure in learning institutions”

“Youth Development: Programs to empower young people through skills acquisition, entrepreneurship training, and job creation initiatives”

“Community Engagement: Mechanisms to strengthen partnerships with community stakeholders and ensure grassroots involvement in the implementation of development projects”

“Council members expressed their commitment to aligning their efforts with the strategy document and pledged to work collaboratively to achieve its goals”

“The Deputy Governor concluded the meeting by thanking participants for their contributions and reaffirming the administration’s dedication to implementing policies that will transform Zamfara State into a model of human capital development in Nigeria”
