Gummi Progressive Youth Forum Appeals To ZMSG Relocate COHST Tsafe To Gummi

Gummi progressive Youth Forum in Zamfara State has appealed to the State Government to relocate the present College of Health Sciences and Technology situated in Tsafe town to Gummi Local Government Areas.
Chairman of the Forum, Alhaji Abubakar A. Gummi made the appeal during a town Hall meeting with Gummi Stakeholders held in Gummi recently.
The Chairman further said beyond any doubt, the Forum identifiers with first the civilian Governor, Senator Ahmad Rufa'i Sani Yarima who gave impetus and unbent confidence that led to recent establishment of the proposed Federal University of Science and Technology, Tsafe.
According to him, the development will usher in a significant chapter capable of transforming Maru, Bungudu, Tsafe, and the capital city of Gusau respectfully.
Alh. Abubakar A. Gummi added that the proposed relocation of the State College of Health Science Technology from Tsafe, would not only prevent educational resources from over-concentrated in the state central zone but would equally fulfill the long-awaition needs and aspirations of the good people of Gummi/Bukuyum Federal Constituency.
He explained that it is evident that all federal and State constituencies represented in the National and State House of Assembly have at least one or more tertiary institutions. Except, Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency.
The Chairman noted that Zamfara North zone already has a concurrent allocation and location with receipt of approval of Zamfara State School of Nursing and Midwifery located in Zurmi Town, Kaura-Namoda/Birnin-Magaji zone.
"The years and decades of the existence of Federal Polytechnic located in Kaura-Namoda is another point, which calls for concern in Gummi L.G.A," he stressed.
Abubakar further said that the Zamfara north-western belt, comprising Bakura/Maradun Federal constituency has Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Animal Science, and the Zamfara south-western belt: Anka/Talata-Mafara federal constituency is presently hosting three (3) federal educational institutions, thus, FGC Anka, Military Command School T/Mafara; and two (2) other State-owned institutions of higher learning that include Zamfara State University and Abdu Gusau Polytechnic all situated in Talata-Mafara town respectfully.
In his remarks, Emir of Gummi Justice Lawal Hassan applauded Governor Dauda Lawal for meeting educational aspirations of the significant portion of loyal constituents, kindly rescuing the situation to collective desire.
Justice Lawal also stated that the good people of Gummi remain steadfast in their support for state government leadership and vision even for Zamfara State to prosper under the current.
"We believe that this decision would not only demonstrate quality and wise decision but equitable development for all sections, dimensions of envisioned State," Emir of Gummi explained.
