FRSC Collaborates Zamfara govt. to train public drivers

The Zamfara State Command Federal Road Safety Corps says its ready to Collaborate with Zamfara Government to train Public drivers from Federal, State and Local government Establishments.

This was disiclosed by the Sector Commander, Mr Aliyu Ma’aji  in an interview with the truth Newspaper in Gusau.

Ma'aji said  all necessary arrangements have been put in place for the commencement of the training.

He said that as the leading agency in the traffic control and management, the aim was to acquire better knowledge and skills that would ensure safety on the roads.

“Although public drivers have traffic laws background, but training and retaining can improve their capacity to meet the world standard of roads safety management and control” he said.

He commended the government for providing good roads network in the state and for the allocation of two patrol vehicles to the command.

“The only request we have before the state government is the provision of traffic signs for effective guidance”

“Traffic signs are very critical elements that guide motorists and other road users in effective  control of traffic and safety, ” Ma’aji said.

He then called for collective action by citizens to support traffic management and safety on the roads.
