FRSC takes safety campaign to Zamfara schools children

Zamfara State Sector Commandant of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) have commence traffic awareness campaign to primary and secondary schools in the state.

In a statement Signed by the Acting Public Relation Officer of the Command  Yasir Shehu  issued to the Journalists  in Gusau on Friday, said as part of the command engagement to commemorate the United Nation Global Road Safety Week in the State.


Yasir Shehu Point out that, the command is reaching out children and adolescent age to educate them on the important of safety and traffic management on the roads.

“As we all know the popular slogan that says catch them always give better result for awareness in the society,

This made the command to pay more attention to the younger generation on this campaign sensitization to raise them with safety conciseness”

In addition to other activities carried out within the week each day a campaign team would visit one primary and secondary school for sensitization.

FMC Gusau re-affirms Commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital

By Ibrahim Ahmad The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Gusau on Tuesday , reaffirmed its commitment towards upgrading to a teaching hospital for enhanced service delivery. The Medical Director of the FMC Gusau, Dr Bello Mohammed made the re-affirmation during the inauguration of a medical  “Common room” constructed by the centre’ s branch of the Nigeria Association of Resident Doctors (NARD). In a Press Statement signed by the centre’ s Public Relation Officer, Dr. Naziru Tukur and made available to newsmen, said modalities have been put in place to ensure the actualisation of the upgrade. “The Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) currently offers five accredited medical programmes, with students already in 200 level” “The centre’s management has intensified efforts in providing critical infrastructure for teaching and learning at the facility,” the statement read.
